Jules! Thanks for setting up this blog for me. Hopefully I will be able to write things you will all find interesting. Please feel free to comment and make this fun for everyone.
I will be leaving soon -- most likely I'll be gone before next Sunday. What's on my mind? What do I worry about? Packing...and being able to carry all the stuff I pack! I've got an infinite ammount of 'honey-do's' too...I'm not too worried about being in Afghanistan but I worry more about how the kids will do when I'm gone. Joshua will be fine I'm sure. He won't ever remember the experience. Of course, it's a different story for Kerrigan and Lily. I can't imagine how many times Lily will say, "Where's Daddy?" since she already does it while I'm sitting in the room with her now! Hopefully our plan to use scype to do video calls with the kids will help. And then I really feel for Leigh Anne. She'll have all the work to do here on her own. Of course, we do have about the best possible situation here with Jimmy and Lisa just down the street to be good company and provide support.

The toughest thing is being separated from Leigh Anne and the kids. No question. I'm really going to miss them.

bummer! I cant even imagine. Well hopefully we can make a trip up to visit Leigh Anne with our

I'm sure this week will be a whirlwind for you and the family Craig. I really like the blog idea...keeping us all connected. It's good..I can't imagine being Leigh Anne or you...we will pray for all of you every night. Happy New Year to Everyone! Alec got his pins out of his elbow on New Years Eve and a new bright orange cast. I will be able to spot him anywhere. I agree with Mom...light packing...we can all send you things if you need more...just pass on the info.
