Something Clicked!

Today was a great day on the slopes! I've been watching Lily at ski lessons and to be honest I had thought we tried to get her started early. But something clicked today and she got it! At the beginning of the day she seemed like she could barely stand up! This is what she was like when we wrapped up. She was lovin' it. It was great to be there with her.

Blue Hubbard

Sis. Turman gave us this huge Blue Hubbard squash. Quite frankly, it's so big we're just not sure how to start with this thing. The other day I set it on the table and asked Josh what we should do with it. He said, "I know!", ran upstairs and came down with his toy tool box. He said, "I can fix it!" and proceeded to hammer away.

It's still not fixed. Does anyone have any good ideas for this ginormous squash?

Ski Lessons

Lily started ski lessons last week. I was amazed that we could find boots to fit her little feet! She had a blast!

My favorite animal

I was backing up files and ran across this clip. It was just too good...so I thought I'd share. I took this at the national zoo in D.C. when we visited Gran and Papa Nik last Summer.

Tubing

Tis the season to be tubing....this is Kerrigan and her friend Meredith at rainbow park across the hill from our house.

"My Fancy!"

Every night after scriptures and prayer everyone gets a hug and kiss -- and then off to bed. For a long time now Josh insists on giving us his "Fancy" kiss. This was tonights version!

Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas tree tonight. The kids love it...Leigh Anne loves getting out at all those ornaments and reminiscing about Christmas' past.

Green Sticks

We had an awesome Thanksgiving! Somehow I only took a couple of pictures! Here's Lily -- she had asked for more of those "Green sticks"! It was great to see everyone and hang out at Julies place in Lehi. Glad to make it home through the snow too!

Snow Storm -- round two

The roads are closed and we couldn't leave for UT today -- so we went sledding again. It's freezin' but it's hard to get the kids away from the hill. Only hot chocolate seems to entice them back inside. Although Josh was done for the day after that wipeout....hopefully the roads will be open tomorrow!

First Snow

We got our first snow today. Did a little sledding for FHE. Hopefully it won't make it too hard to get down to Julies for Thanksgiving!

Paranoid Parent

The other day Josh was sitting in his room moaning and saying "My weg huwts" over and over. I checked him out and couldn't see anything wrong...and he didn't even seem to have hurt himself in any way. At any rate, my mind got to spinning over and over about all the bad things that could be going on. I just had to get an x-ray. So here I am. Diagnosis? Pawanoid pawent, cured by x-ray therapy. He's fine and so am I.

Venture Crew

Lately I've been hanging out with the Venture crew -- here's a shot of Mel teaching the young men a bit about marksmanship. I wish I had learned the things he's teaching when I was young!
