Nana

It was sad to go to Nana's funeral but it was great to see everyone we've missed for so long.

The kids loved the hay maze at the La Posada -- more fun than any hotel pool we've ever played in!

This is another picture in the La Posada -- Josh loves trains and he loved watching real trains roll by behind the hotel.

Bear Creek Overlook

Today we went to Bear Creek Overlook -- what a sweet spot! Nice little hike down in the Bitterroot. Much better than the botched wrong turn debacle from last week.

How do you know your kids are watching too much TV? Maybe this is a little hint. Lily spontaneously did this and said, "Ohmmmm....I learned it on TV".

Wrong Turn Trail

I took the wrong trail with the kids yesterday....missed out on a great place -- but they seemed to make the best of it. We did see some odd looking deer along the way. Decent view of the valley. But we'll have to be back to see the real thing another time. I hear Bear Creek Overlook is great...

Bitterroot

This is the Bitterroot river near our house. A neighbor was kind enough to let us have access to play and fish. It's a sweet spot...if only I had a clue about fly fishing it would be even more fun!

I bought these five-finger shoes to try running in them but so far I like using them in water more than anything else.

Nana passed away last night -- we will miss her.

Bitterroot float

Floated the Bitterroot twice today. Once in the morning with Dave who fished...and once in the afternoon/evening with Kerrigan and Madi Tree. Fun times! Lots of wildlife along the river!

Josh is Four!
